Virgin Touches Down in Seattle

Virgin Celebrates London - Seattle Direct…

NOT EVEN the gloomy skies of the Pacific Northwest could dampen the spirits as Virgin Atlantic Airways celebrated the launch of its new direct services from London/Heathrow to Seattle, Washington State, in style.

A day after inaugurating the new link, the carrier hosted a ‘celebratory flight’ with members of the media and other special guests receiving a taste of the Virgin experience.

Up-and-coming UK singer/songwriter Raye was among the guests on board. The Londoner gleaned memories and thoughts of Seattle from passengers, and wrote them into a song about the charming US city before performing it on board. It was also streamed via Facebook Live by the airline.

A mixologist created cocktails at the bar area for passengers travelling in Upper Class, and there was a real party atmosphere on board.
