In a game of ’Airline Trading Places’, Emirates (EK) returned to the South Florida skies on July 22, 2021, with a switch to Miami International Airport (MIA), taking over from its pre-pandemic destination of Fort Lauderdale (FLL), 20 miles to the north, from where it operated from December 2016 to March 2020.
