Richard Benedikz travelled to Spain to discover how flight simulators are being used to improve safety in firefighting

 Flight simulators play a hugely important role in aviation. From instrument training to type ratings, they are the perfect tool for recreating scenarios too dangerous to perform in real aircraft. However, they are also used for more challenging aspects of flying. For this issue, we visited Valencia-based firefighting organisation, Avialsa T-35, to find out how the company has integrated an Air Tractor A12 simulator into its training syllabus.
