X-Plane Touches Down in the Isle of Man

Boundless Simulations has announced Isle of Man (EGNS) Ronaldsway Airport is now available for X-Plane 11.


The scenery package covers the Ronaldsway Airport on the Isle of Man in detail with an accurate runway, taxiway, and apron layout as well as real-world parking, ramp starts and a helipad.

Other highlights include custom high-definition (HD) buildings with PBR (Physically Based Rendering) effects and reflective surfaces. Hundreds of custom placed are objects are included along with full airport fencing, static ground crew/people and vehicles with Isle of Man Airport Menzies Aviation Branding.

The HD orthophoto base has been sharpened and colour corrected to match the real landscape. The package features full night lighting, static general aviation aircraft as well as various airlines such as Aer Lingus Regional, Loganair, Eastern, and West Atlantic. Manx Airlines preserved at the museum is also part of the scenery.

The package is fully compatible with traffic Global & WorldTraffic 3 and is optimised for high performance.

The Real Airport
Ronaldsway is frequently visited by airlines such as Aer Lingus Regional, Eastern Airlines, Loganair and easyJet. It is also noted for its challenging approach during stormy weather, with Runways 06/26 facing significant crosswinds.
