Ju 88 FIGHTERS

Most would associate the Luftwaffe’s attack on Norway in April 1940 with conventional bombers such as the Heinkel He 111 and Junkers Ju 88. However, it also used Operation ‘Weserübung’ for the operational testing of an aircraft which would later become a potent night fighter: the Ju 88C-1

The Luftwaffe always wanted many of its combat types to be what we would now call multi-role aircraft.
