Twin-engined light aircraft sighted over Port Solent Marina, Portsmouth last weekend, with unusual characteristics. Help needed, please, to identify this aircraft, and satisfy my curiosity.

1. Low-wing cabin monoplane, with very slim aft fuselage leading to high T tail.

2. Unusually large wing-span for such an aircraft (Glider style?) with very narrow straight wing and winglets (slightly swept back ).

3. Powered by 2 piston engines in the Continental style.

4. T tail also has winglets, as far as I could see.

Unable to obtain registration.

Any thoughts?

Interestingly, the 2009 Google maps aerial view of Port Solent shows my parked car, so could the Diamond Twin Star have been used to take up to date pictures, I wonder? Spies are everywhere!:)
