-I was quite suprised to see the Jet2 aircraft at EGSS, but that same day Airliner World came out with a detailed look at ChannelEx and Jet2, apprently the aircraft operates charters from Stansted almost every evening.
When I flew to Blackpool and back from Stansted on the 5th of May I saw the same Jet2 aircraft come in at exactly the same time, so it's obviously a regular service.
I'm surpised they haven't started a London service yet, they'd only be going up against BMI and they fly into LHR.

-Hi all, heres the deal with the Jet2 a/c!
Basically they need a minimum of 3 a/c through the week to operated the current programme, 4 over the weekend with extra runs to Alicante and Malaga. This 4th a/c remains LBA based as a standby a/c in case of delay or technical probelm with another.
The full programme only became implemented on 1st May, hence the airframes were kicking heels a lot, and they operated a number of charters in between, examples of which were Leeds United FC to Biggin Hill, Pegeot Cars from Coventry, plus a lot of work for Buzz, who were in the intrim period of introducing B733s into the fleet, but had just been bought out by FR.
A long story, but in the end Channex were contracted to fly some of the services. They had a B733 parked up at Lasham and Stansted, so this a/c was used to full the gap. Its the above a/c in full Jet2 c/s.
A fifth is supposed to have been re-paintedand hanging about ATM, G-CELY i think. Presumably a/c 4 wil be having a full programme implemented soon and a/c 5 will become a back up, itself ready for the Prague and Faro runs, plus the other winter destinations soon to be announced.
Current runs are Amsterdam, Barcelona, ALicante, Malaga, Milan Bergamo and Palma de Mallorca, plus the above Faro and Prague to start in September.
As for the London link i think they'll "play it by ear". They currently operate no domestic flights within the UK and the destinations that keep cropping up are going abroad - Geneva keeps coming into the fray for the winter, plus another ski-run.
Hope this helps

I thought I'd just share a couple of photos I took at Stansted in March. I was flying with BA to Manchester on an ATP, this service has now stopped. Sadly I didn't manage to get a pic of the ATP but these are a few I'm quite proud of.
Enjoy!
