Yes, it was. It was a flight for the pick-up of a sick patient. Unfortunately, the plane had to turn around due to engine failure but it lost altitude and crashed.
Several people were injured, but fortunately, no people on the ground were killed.

Two believed dead in light plane crash in Canley Vale
THE pilot who was killed in a light plane crash in Sydney's southwest this morning has been identified as 28-year-old Andrew Wilson from Bankstown.
The family of the experienced pilot, who was originally from Victoria but lived in Bankstown, have been notified.
A nurse in her mid-40s from Sydney who was also believed to have died in the crash has not yet been named.
The Piper PA-31, also known as a Piper Navajo burst into flames when it crashed and exploded at Canley Vale at 8.10am, narrowly missing a public school, after hitting a power pole.

I can't believe a plane crash happened several klicks southeast of where I live.
So sad for the pilot and nurse.
It's a matter of time before there is another accident, and possibly a general aviation operator other than Airfix Aviation.
This was the Piper PA-31 that crashed.
