-My 94 y.o. mother says it was "Have a Go" and I have to agree. How did the theme song go ' 'ave a go, Joe, you gotta 'ave a go', etc etc.

-...and Violet Carson played the piano on Wilfred's show! - regrettably I remember it only too well!! Pickles' daughter is Carolyn Pickles, the actress and I think his sister is also an actress.

-No, you are both right. Wilfred said "......Barney" originally because Barney Colehan was the show's producer. Later when his wife Mabel joined the show it became ....Mabel".
