I did a search and found nothing recent, so here goes!

I've had this for a couple of years now - when I first got it I played for a bit but found it awkward and unfriendly. Then I installed Windows 7 on my old Core Duo PC and it became unplayable (known issue and fixable) so I abandoned it to a dusty corner of the desktop.

Having upgraded the PC for CoD (which runs like a dream BTW) I thought I'd give RoF another try. I actually play RoF more than CoD now! It's awesome - there have been updates since it was launched and the whole experience is a lot easier to get on with.

Sunday I braved multiplayer and got my behind whupped but it was sooo much fun, I'm hardly off the PC now and getting to grips with leading turns with rudder and gyroscopic effects of rotaries. I'm still spinning in far too many times and can't hit anything with the guns but it's all so cool I don't care.

I will attempt some screen shots, but looking down and seeing an SE5a and Albatross DVa duelling at 100' then nearly colliding with a Dr1 while avoiding the Camel coming in from behind is really quite something! Damage modelling and engine management is good - wings come off, engines overrev and die and guns jam. The scenery is good too.

The only real gripe is that you only get two aircraft in the base set and have to buy the others - After resisting for a while I now have a hanger full! I think I need about 4 and I have the set, but neoqb/777 Studios keep releasing new aircraft all the time (next up is a Breugeot [sp?]).

If you've got it, persevere: If you haven't, there's a free demo online.

See you in France!

I've got it, love it but don't have much time to play. It runs best on my step son's gaming rig which I don't get a lot of accesss to.

I haven't braved MP much, really should find time to have a proper go.

Just a quick bump for this - New update has been streamed and as a result Rise of flight in it's most basic form (with the Spad and Albatros) is free.

Just register and enjoy!
