-Lovely web site, but I wish it had an airfield plate on it so I could check easily if I can get in.

-Thank you BR.
Also of note is a NOTAM for the BBMF between 1300 and 1330 on Saturday. Pilots are advised to keep clear of the airfield between these times.
We are expecting approximately 200 aircraft per day, so it is a good idea to register with Chester or Nick beforehand, just so we can get the burgers on the BBQ.
The night-time do is riotous....

We are again running the 'GREAT NORTH FLY IN' this year which will take place at Eshott Airfield, Northumberland on the weekend of 25th/26th June 2011. The event will include Microlights, Light Aircraft, Autogyros, Paramotors and Powered Hang-gliders. Both LAA and BMAA are most welcome.
The event is designed to appeal to everyone who has an interest in aviation.
...
The concept is to meet the needs of all aviators hopfully getting bigger and better this year ,also to get as many flyers of whatever aircraft to attend the event, and to have a lot of fun.
We hope to have a variety of interesting aircraft large and small
Profits will go to the "HELP FOR HEROES, ROYAL BRITISH LEGION and other service charities.
Storm Smith (Eshott Airfield Owner) has kindly offered a no landing fee for the weekend and we hope to raise some money for our charities supporting our servicemen and women wounded/maimed and disfigured on operations in Iraq, Afghanistan.
Attractions will include the following;
BBMF Spitfire and Hurricane
Beer tent Bar and BBQ
Military Vehicles
Classic Cars
Live Music (Evening)
Hypnotist (Evening)
Display Aircraft
Cockpit Displays
RAF Eshott Historical Display
Auction
Camping
Fuel runs available (Mogas)
Avgas - available on-site(TBC)
Paramotors can take off from Stanton Airstrip (6 Miles southwest of Eshott), we should be able to take your tents over to Eshott by vehicle if required etc.
This is a great opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful counties in England, steeped in history and with one of the most impressive coastlines boasting a multitude of castles, Holy Island and of course our very own Roman Wall. Bring your tents, stay the night and have a great time!!!
