-Interesting that you clearly think that not stopping required excuses.
Is it an offence in the US not to stop at the scene of an accident?

-as a biker i think it is disgusting not stopping if only to check another biker was ok but i myself am a trained first aider too

-I.M.H.O. he should have stopped. It seems obvious that, that piece of road is nothing more than a race track, and they were easily breaking the National speed limit. just as that bit of road is in Derbyshire between Buxton and, ?? the bikers, even sit on a wall at the roadside, on a pub wall, with vid cameras, to see who is coming off on the L/H bend, speed kills, just hope they dont find it out the hard way.

Yeah, most odd :confused: As a biker (well, not for a while, but I know the score), not stopping to at least check that the chap is ok is very poor form, & possibly unlawful to boot.
Still, hopefully it was just his pride that was bruised.

-Maybe you missed this part: There were 4 other guys behind me riding in a group of 6...
& it turns out this was the guys 2nd crash in 2 days. He also wadded a ZX10 on the right hander seen at 0.54 in the vid.

You should have stopped, even if it was to help him get his bike off to the side of the road and prevent another accident.
Where were the 50 onlookers BTW?

He didn't have a serious injury, you can see him getting up as I pass him.
He had the bike up in seconds, one of the guys behind me only saw the bike off to the side & a broken frame slider laying in the road... & he was only seconds behind me. He was barely moving forward when he ran out of talent.
The onlookers were just up the road on a hill.
& if I did stop, I wouldn't have helped him pick the bike up. Owing to nerve damage (broken neck) & torn ligaments etc from my wreck 7 years ago I'm not supposed to lift ANYTHING according to the quacks. I could have stood there & offered constructive criticism tho :)

Good thing I didn't post the other video from Tuesday on the same section of road. I might have been going a tad faster. That also had 2 *events*. The first was passing a cop on the same corner while making good progress & the second was another bloody car driver doing a U turn at a hairpin bend. Luckily I could see across from a couple corners further down the hill & spotted the car on the wrong side of the road.

-This is the corner where the hero crashed his ZX10 on Saturday... this pic was taken on Friday... He blamed the oil in the road for losing traction... several hundred other people also rode this section of road & he was the only pillock to crash...

-Looked a fairly benign incident to me; but as you say it could have been nasty!
I’m not sure I’d have stopped in those circumstances; it didn’t look too serious as it happened and often the worst thing you can do is react too much and make matters worse. In the split-second you had to asses and react the best move was probably to avoid, without slowing too much, and then pull-up further along. Surely you’d have no legal requirement to stop; doesn’t that apply only to those involved in the accident?
What was the oncoming biker doing on that side of the road; did he ‘bale out’ of the previous corner?

Non of these people seem to be moving particularly fast though, but I would have checked.

Funny how differently I read the situation; I thought the guy who fell off his bike lost it trying to avoid the guy coming the other way (who was on the wrong side of the road).
So, all the fault of the guy who fell then?

the fact is there was no considderation for a downed biker others would call the video poster a pillock for his speeding activities ( there is no safe speeding on an open to the public road ) just because you have been lucky doesn't mean it won't be you next time
and just because someone gets up and carries on never assume there is no serious injury as in this wikipedia entry of a famous manchester city player

whilst it may no be compulsory it shows the standard of curtessy to other humans still i guess it would be difrent if it was him that rode past the exceptionaly experienced and in the right you
he was another biker and even if you didn't like his antics a quick stop and asking "you ok knobhead ?? " is a common courtessy

Buxton - Macclesfield. A537, Snake Pass.
Its still used as a private track by the odd idiot, but since average speed cameras got put up, and the limit made a blanket 50mph, its been a lot safer lately.

I didn't stop because:
1, He was already getting up
2, There were 4 other guys behind me
3, I had to chase down the lead guy on the blue bike to tell him to wait
4, If I had stopped, I would have probably punched the jackass on the Suzuki in the windpipe...:mad:
