IIRC that's because they have an APU
Wonder if they'll refit the older series. It reminds me of the Su-24 FENCER-A/B/C (i.e. each type different but never bothered to give it a new designation until Su-24M FENCER-D).

IIRC that's because they have an APU
They are not carrying the dark camo because they have APU, they carry dark camo and have APU because they were made later. 02 for instance still have the non dark camo, and carries fences and APU. As i said, difference in series and hence the time they were made at. Obviously 02 is the first aircraft to receive improvements (APU + fences) and was painted in the "old" camo prior to the "new" one was ordered.
Three Su-35S' arrived in Akhtu today. Hopefully someone did the tour MoD invited at.
I was confused for a second as well when i saw it some days ago, but it is old picture. Notice lack of fencers + the new sensor in front of windshield.
All five that was recently delivered are aubergine.
PS: Report said in nearest days three more will arrive. I guess 05 will be with that batch. Sure was surprising to see 08 all of the sudden. Next ones should be 05, 09 and 10 then. But they have fooled us before... (like today)

TsAGI scientists are working on a new small aircraft
Specialists of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute. prof. NE Zhukovsky (TsAGI) developed a technology platform (a set of interrelated technologies) available light multipurpose aircraft (LMS) with advanced missiles. The platform can be used for creating long-term aircraft on 9, 13 and 19 passengers, which must meet the requirements of the Russian market of small aircraft and have to compete in the global arena.

Work under a contract with the Ministry of Industry began in 2011, the press service of the institute. TsAGI proposed set of technical solutions in the field of aerodynamics, materials and structures, management systems, providing a significant improvement in the technical level and the consumer of the aircraft. Scientists are working on the creation of the airframe of polymer composite materials, automated management system LMS and wheel chassis in the base case and the stand-alone module chassis air cushion pressurized cabin availability, use two turboprop helicopter motors connected shaft synchronization, etc. Special attention is paid to the exploitation bezaerodromnoy LMS, which is important for our country, especially in Siberia and the Far North. Developed aerodynamic design, which combines a high aerodynamic efficiency at cruising flight with high lifting properties at takeoff and landing. The calculated aerodynamic models confirmed by tests in a wind tunnel T-102. Stand on an air cushion landing gear has been successfully tested in the tube and in the Moscow Complex TsAGI hydraulic canals. Estimated FSUE "State Research Institute of Aviation", in the case of creation, a new version of a light aircraft with wheeled chassis allow reduction in the cost of transportation by 18-45% compared to the An-2, L-410UVP-E and with foreign counterparts. This suggests that a family of next-generation aircraft MEL. The economic efficiency of a light aircraft with air cushion landing gear is also positive. According to the specialists of JSC "aviation industry" sales perspective LMS from 2016 to 2030. could reach about 1770 aircraft of all three variants for a total of about 4.5 billion U.S. dollars. The share of 19-seat versions will be 62% of the total issue, 13-seat - 25%, and 9 local - 13%. In general, studies have shown that in the case of developed TsAGI technical solutions and technologies new Russian aircraft will have to compete in the domestic and foreign markets, as well as ensure the availability and security of the local aviation and Aerial. TsAGI establishment considers promising technology demonstrator aircraft prospective LMS, which can work out and verify the declared promising and innovative technical solutions. Draft design of the demonstrator was developed in 2012 in cooperation with specialists of TsAGI KNIITU-KAI by "Aerorik" and several other organizations as part of a contract with the Ministry of Industry of Russia.

Why do the Su-34s in the green/black color have a grill on their tail sting and the ones in the blue don't?

Difference in series. And it is not green/black color. Aubergine/blue ones are later series.

Apparently it was restricted to three (3) cameras from three (3) biggest channels. Aka state owned channels...
That is the only pic i have found as well, that isn't from Akhtu even. Odd that it is 08 tho.

"Where are you going, Mikhailovich?"
"Deep into the Taiga, Anatoly. A very long holiday. I don't expect I shall return. In fact, I mean not to."
[I just watched Werner Herzog's Happy People: A Year in the Taiga. There was an Mi-8 in it too. :o]
