Looks very slick but the camera angle probably helps...

Yep, with make-up and that angle, her face looks pretty beautiful. ;)

Looks cool, though I still reckon the nose/flight deck windows will take some getting used to.

The black paint around the flightdeck windows does a grand job of hiding the ugly lines that come from marrying the whalejet windows to this new frame.

IMO, not as pretty as the airframe it is competing against: the 787. But, at the end of the day, it's not about looks. Is it.

I hate both :D there's something about both aircraft that looks out of place (but I can't put my finger on it), it's like if you ask a 4 year old to draw an aeroplane... This is what they'd draw.

That's true. New aircraft look slightly androgenous to me and all look the same, bar the B747-8 and A380; partcularly as twins become the norm.

Personally, I'd like to see a new airliner with a T-tail and four engines slung on the back, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

Is it me or front looks a bit like the 757?

From a purely visual point of view, it looks like the most Boeing-like of all the Airbus wide bodies.
Firstly, the nose undercarraige is much further forward than has previously been the case on Airbus models, lining up with the rear panel of the cockpit glazing rather than under the forward cabin door.
Secondly, the top line of the A350 fuselage drops slightly at the tail. Earlier wide-body Airbus models (A380 excepted) have a straight line right to the end - a valuable recognition feature, so far, at least.

looks nice to me. although it'd be nice if it had the 787's engine.

any comparison of the looks of the 787 and a350?

I think I'd have to say that of the two, the B787 is the more attractive.

The A350 interests me more, though.

You mean with the nacelle cut outs?

Engine wise it has a further step on from the 787 with the Trent XWB being the most fuel efficient engine currently flying.

The flight deck windows seem to different to the 380
