cant say about ERJs but last summer i did Vegas to LAX in a challenger 200 and that was a great flight

A Challenger is understandably comfortable.....the CRJ on the other hand was basically an airliner created from a biz-jet. The ERJ series as compared to the Legacy was the other way around.

I have flown on a Comair Canadair and an Alitalia 145. I found the seats on the Embraer comfier. The narrower fusilage and comparative quietness of the cabin made the Embraer feel like a private jet. I did however enjoy the free drinks on the Canadair bought for me by a fellow passenger when I agreed to switch seats with him so that he could sit with his family.

I agree on all the points. The seats on the ERJ seem larger though I don't know the dimensions for sure.

Hello all. It's been quite some time since I posted here, but as is always the case an experience I had on a few ERJ-145's during a trip this past week has caused me to do a little digging around, and I just thought it might be fun to get a nice discussion going on what I consider to be a nice little family of airplanes.
First off let me say that while RJ's aren't as comfortable as larger aircraft, I much prefer the ERJ-145 family over the CRJ series. I love the 1-2 layout (which is why I don't mind flying on the Saab 340 either), and even though its a narrower airplane, the ERJ is just a more comfortable airplane to me from a passenger standpoint. I'm not a civilian pilot so I've never flown either ERJ's or CRJ's, but in terms of comfort and looks I much prefer the Embraer product.
I flew on at least two different variants of the 145 this past trip, with one being what I believe to be an ERJ-145ER and the other an ERJ-145XR (winglets). I checked the N-number on both, and that's what it said. At any rate, I find the XR's in particular to be good looking birds...the winglets actually help the appearance I think. With that being said, I looked up my flight on the XR via FlightAware.com and it stated the aircraft was an ERJ-135. Does Flight Aware have it wrong, and if so, how would they get it wrong when the information on the identity of the aircraft is so easily publicly available.
Any help answering my question as well as general opinions of the family and interesting photos would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
