Odd an EJC machine carrying a U.S. civil registration.
Kaman K-Max N360KA (s/n A94-0031) : seems it was used by Ejecito Colombia, from 16/04/2001 to 15/05/2008, under US Department of State ownership with registration EJC502.
From 2008 till nowadays, it is part of Kaman Aerospace Corp with this code (N360KA) again.

Classic bird and nice photos!
Didn't someone comment that the Malaysians are finding out their fancy new A-109s are nowhere near as rugged as the old Alouette? The SA315B Lama derivative (Alouette III systems on Alouette II airfram) is one fine piece of engineering and a great chopper if you want to fly hot and/or high.

I completely agree with you. Belgian Alouette III are in active duties since 1971.
Malta Alouette III :
Even if I must admit that I'm a big fan of the good looking shapes of the A109 (here in Malaysian colors) :

Hello, Thobbes,
......
And with 10 Mi-17s and 1 Beechcraft 1900 it's actually better equipped than a lot of European micro-airforces.
I don't think the European micro-countries even have mini air forces....:very_drunk:
............................................. except maybe for Vatican ;
