Not the best picture I've ever seen (Turkish flag is hardly distinguishable) but such rarity is tasteful.
Many thanks MSphere.

Given the fact, that this kill has resulted in death of Turkish pilot, Nail Erdogan and that a murder case has been raised against the Greek pilot, Thanos Grivas, seven years following th eincident, it is more than understandable that the flag has been deleted from the aircraft asap.

To calm down this thread about killmark or not, let us remember that it was not the first time (neither the last) that a pilot lost his life in combat or mock combat between the two air forces. Greek pilots as well as Turkish ones frequently goes beyond the red line. Religion and/or political interests leads to many confrontations.
Combat pilots are responsible adults who knows exactly what they make, even bloody stupid things.

Other than the odd shark mouth I can't recall seeing nose art on aircraft during peace time but it's good to see it on an ETPS / RAE red white and blue one!

True. Not defending any side here. Just reporting what happened.

I just thought it was a clever drawing, If I knew it would start all this quarrel I would not post it at all.

Don't worry, really !
It's usual that members have discussions sometimes about some kinds of pictures. It will be marvelous (and also a little bit boring) if everybody were in agreement everytime.
Continue to post what you think right (in some limits, of course :)).
Military pilots don't live in a "Care Bears" world and some are killed when performing their job. Nobody love that, but that's unfortunately the "true life".
If stupidity of war didn't exist, then why to be in need of military pilots ("si vis pacem, para bellum").

I hope they don't retire the B-1B's! As we could live without the A-10's and even F-15C's. Yet, the Bomber Fleet is getting dangerously low....:(

I agree. Even if B-2 lines style are really impressives for stealth purpose, I can't convince myself that the smooth feminine curves of a B-1 are "old fashioned".
B-2 is no more than a flying wing with triangles accomodations. B-1 is a succession of bumps, curves and moving sections. :dev2:
