Nord Sample:
Good day!
One small single engine of French design has been found deep S. of the border in the southern part of the Uruguayan country side by hikers. (Durazno area)
It appears to have been in place for quite some time c.1972. It's suspected to be a Nord 1103 Norecrin. Poss Uruguayan Reg CX- AMX or Arg LV-FDN. More details as they come. Photo via FB/ FAU Museum Folks.

Tks that helps! If you know of someone with access to a Nord 1203 cockpit we 'll appreciate a close-up of the factori ID data plate. Any other Nord aircraft will do also. Tks
P.S. For what purposes You need the data plate image of that Uruguayan "Norecrin" ? I feel sure, those guys who have found this plane wreck, have the images of cockpit.

The Uruguayan folks that found the Norecrin were hikers & car rally folks not aviation folks. They took some pics but not close-ups of the cockpit or id plates. It is suspected to be LV-FDN so far! No C/n known. There was another unique sample in Uruguay c, 1960s CX-AMS also. c/n 250! Sold to Argentina c. '72 & then .... who knows!!

Miles Hawk: Another rare & interesting UK sample that made it across the pond. La Aurora, Guatemala c. 1940s.
Are You sure this is Miles ? I seem, it's fin and tailplane looks another than Miles Hawk. And this plane obviously have FAG insignia under wing. But any list of FAG inventory have not any Miles plane. This is mystery ! Maybe, other images, from other angles are available ?

I have it as Caudron C.601 Aiglon
Yes, Mr Chris, You are absolutely right.
fah619, please, compare this image with Your photo:
The tail unit of this plane looks like same unit on Your image. And "Aiglon" have specific part on lower left side of engine cowling:
and Miles "Hawk" have not this detail on it's cowling:
Also note - back side edge of "Aiglon" engine cowling is vertical to ground level when plane is in flight position; the "Hawk" have angled side edge of cowling.

Good day!
With the due apologies to the vintage aviation folks we'll be glad to correct its previous id! Tks for the data & info also.
No..we were not sure of the real id of this particular aircraft for years. But now,..tks to Chris & you, we seem to get into the perimeter of our ukns FAG aircraft! The Miles Hawk surfaced as one of the closest samples to it sometime ago. Chris if you have other angles or pics of the 601 Aiglon plz post! The small front engine panel cowling looks a bit different. Maybe it's another modern version? They handle quite well in grassy airports!! Tks
p.s Does the FAG star looks to you like a 5 point or a six point star?
