Is anyone going to the conference at Derby on 4th October? The programme listed at http://bapc.org.uk/html/program.html looks promising.

Yes...you don't have to be a BAPC member to go.....so long as you pay the conference fee. Some interesting subjects too.

At the Doncaster meeting last month, they explained the thinking behind the "Street Exhibition" area, which involves sales stands etc. on the central atrium walkway at the Rolls-Royce facility - another nice draw! :)

Save some money for the following weekend!! ;)

Not much time left to book so do get your forms in. Cannot wait to hear what RAFM have been doing on the Dornier. Rumour has it they have been talking to the Mary Rose Trust !

Family commitments and the timing of two NAM events, on weekends before and after the date, means that I will be unable to attend, but I think that a couple of other people from NAM hope to go along - I hope that it goes well! :)

Just released from the BAPC:
It is with much regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the 2014 Stopping the Rot National Conference, which was due to be held on 4 October 2014.

Despite both an excellent programme and a central UK location at Rolls-Royce in Derby, we have been unable to attract sufficient bookings to make this conference viable. The take up from the BAPC membership has been extremely low.

In order to protect the membership funds, the decision has been made to rerun the conference at a different venue again in 2015 when hopefully circumstances may be more favourable.

The date for your diary is Saturday, 3 October 2015, so you have a full 12 months to mobilise your supporters and to make arrangements to join us for what we hope will be an enjoyable and memorable STR in 2015

Best regards

Brian
