Gentlemen. I would very much appreciate your help identifying this part. I didn't measure it exactly before taking the pictures, but I'm guessing about 190 cms in length and weighing perhaps 25 kgs. An early suggestion is that it's for the under wing cannon for the JU87.

Any ideas?

Best regards,

Simon

It is certainly appears to be some kind of fused ordnance delivery system. The round plugs with the double-pin and double alloy flanges are the connection points for air-dropped electrical fuses. So, a bomb rack of some description although I need to look up my bomb rack notes to give you a type.

Is there an inscription beginning with ETC, PVC or PC or PB.....that from memory!

Perhaps for carriage/delivery of four x 50kg bombs? Just a theory!

Hello Andy. It's not to hand at the moment but I will take a look and let you know when I can get to it.

Hi Guys,

Looks very similar to one I found at the Fernhurst Do 217 crash site during early 1990's visit after EOD had cleared the site for bombs a second time. So perhaps Dornier rather than Stuka?

Regards to all,

Melvin
