Am I alone in thinking that comment from two of our esteemed 'watchdogs' is conspicuous by its absence?

Hardly a day passed, without an elegantly phrased interjection to do with one item or another, from either Moggy or Bruce. Have we on this forum been quietly relegated to the outer fringes of moderation or, are some of the subjects and comments too anodyne for their attention ?

Now that it appears Nigel has been exiled to Hasbeenland and we have nothing to offer on GD that equals exhumed Supermarine products or, metallic Mosquitos, the keepers of the forum conscience seem to be temporarily - we hope - under employed.

Let us engage the combined inventiveness of the forum to find some provocative subject with the potential for lethal debate sufficient to attract some much missed comment and thinly veiled threats from our occasionally immoderate moderators.

Well Moggy was active here on 2nd June and elsewhere informed us he has been/still is in France, so perhaps he is less active whilst abroad. And unless it's education or politics or both Bruce doesn't participate much in GD, does he?

Cheers Buddy, I am always up to my neck in it, it's only the depth that varies.
Myself and wife of 48yrs are getting a divorce. So my question is, Is being married these days worth the paper it's written on, in my case 48yrs worth, or is it better to "Live in sin" as a lot do these days, and just walk away whenever they get fed up.? I am finding out, jst how dirty one of the parties can get, it all seems to revolve on getting you hands on as mch as you can when you walk.
Are, in your opinion the Courts still in favour of the man or woman?. I think that the tinternet has a lot to answer for in one respect, Emily Panchurst another, and Jermain Greer the other one. In these days of women screaming, (And getting) equal rights, why when a marriage breaks down, they not only want their pond of flesh, but drain you of blood also. BTW, any good Barristers on the Forum?.

So there you go Newforest, your starter for 10.

Thanks for the kick off Number 7 (remember 'The Prisoner?'). We are aware of your predicament and sympathsize. Just because I have been through it twice, does not make me an expert but I reckon the one who pays the lawyer the most, WINS.

You may well be right, I am still paying this house off until Jan next year, and have everything else to pay for as well. I think that marriage today, is no longer considered to be a lifetimes commitment, like my old job, as long as you kept your nose clean, it was a job for life, no IFFS or BUTS, no longer, as it seems they are on contracts.
I am pleased I will be 74 next month, and will in the not so far future be out of this bloody rat race.. BTW July 11th, for all B.D. Cards........:D

I'll be happy to moderate you if you wish John, but as all of the forums are pretty quiet at the moment, there is no need for me to intervene on anything..

Charlie, I quite enjoy a little political debate, but unless it descends into abuse, I wont moderate. We all have our own views, and thank goodness we do.

Britain today has declined to a state of near pointlessness and irrelevance.
Other ex-imperial states have recognised this change in circumstances in a much more graceful manner (eventually!) and today retain some semblance of relevance in some areas.
The next state to enter this period decline (if it hasn't already commenced) is the United States of America and I for one think that the denial of the reality of the situation in the US will be (is) going to be much worse than that in the UK.
Discuss. :)

I am touched that people have noticed my lack of involvement, the run of Operation Dynamo 75, Classic Wings 25 and a twenty aircraft 'Raduno' on Bordeaux Saucats airfield have kept me pretty busy over the past few weeks.

Luckily it coincided with a period of relative peace and tranquillity on the forum, so my absence didn't place too much strain on the rest of the team.

But anyway... I'm back :)
