Hells Bells, makes me feel old. I used to watch The Avengers all the time. Always did like him.

The Avengers were always a favorite of mine, my Dad bought an old black & white set for me and my sister, so we could watch what we wanted, which back then in the middle to late 60's was unheard of to have a telly for the kids, so we were lucky...

You had to turn it on 10 minutes before, to warm up the valve's, if we forgot it meant missing the first ten minutes!

Only lasted for 3 months then gave up the ghost, we were gutted as Dad wouldn't get another and didn't care for the Avengers, so we missed out on a lot of the early series... :apologetic:

Still watch them, on FreeView 61, a stoic, imperturbable and engaging man, will be sorely missed...

To my generation, he was the classical English Gentleman of action...

RIP, Mr. Steed.
