I'm booked to get the last bit of my plumbing sorted tomorrow, so here's hoping I will be back online in a couple of days, they gave me a 70% chance they can clear the artery.

So hopefully will speak soon :)

Yup, this one is blocked and has been for about a decade apparently, so it's the cilit bang, then rodding and stenting..

Hi Guys. I had a call from Tony early today, he has had his Op, and everything went according to plan.:eagerness: The blockage was cleared, and they managed to get a STENT put in. He was stuffing his face when he phoned, and has been told to drink plenty of fluids, to keep his kidneys functioning properly. I also understand he may well be kept in overnight for observations, and may well be discharged tomorrow. Will keep you updated, as and when I hear anything.

Hi All,
Jim,
Do you know if it was GKN or SCB that did the job...:D We are truly living in marvellous times when operations such as these are now so common place that you are in and out within two days if all goes according to plan. Many thanks for the update and please pass on my warmest regards to tony when speak to him Jimbo...:eagerness:

Hi Geoff. I will pass on your good wishes to him later. He was full of Beans when I spoke to him. Tony phoned up at around 7.15pm. and stated that the Surgeon has visited him, and told him that everything had gone far better than they had expected. It was a very difficult procedure they had not attempted before, and considering it was all carried out through Tonies wrist, is nothing short of a miracle, he is feeling a bit dizzy, but was told that this may well be because his heart was pumping blood through it as it does with normal folks. At the time of talking, he was just asking for Sweet and Sour chicken !! so the old boy seems O.K.
Will keep you updated.

Brilliant, glad to hear you are on the mend Tony. Sounds like something we should all have when we reach a certain age.

Sorry Tony, missed all this drama.

Glad it has worked out. I hope you'll soon be jogging like a 30-year old!

Probably time for a sponge-bath from your favourite nurse then! ;)

Just spoken to Tony, he has had a visit by a junior Dr this morning, and has told Tony it is likely he will be discharged today.when he is seen by the Surgeon who carried out the Op.....:D

This Thursday, I go into Hospital for my Operation, One out, one in. Quite looking forward to getting mine done and dusted and out of the way.

I still think sterilising you at your age is a waste of resources :stupid:
