Su-30SME is an improved export version of the Su-30cm for the Russian Air Force, in turn, created on the basis of export machines Su-30MKI. The prototype was the last interceptor Su-30, designed for air defense forces of the USSR.
"This is a new version of export of the machine, the main difference - the domestic avionics, it does not use the French component unlike MKI", - she told the correspondent of "Heathcliff!" A source in the industry. In addition, he noted that the on-board electronics capabilities have increased significantly.
According to the source, the first buyers of a new car can be a Malaysian Air Force, fresh Su-30 as Algeria and interested in the future of Iran.

Impressive FCS, the falling leaf at 1:15ish mark..... engines have come a long way in the last 30 years, in an F-14 that would have been an ejection event.
Such a big beak on the Su-30, out of proportionately long. 'Toucan' would be a good nickname for them. Su-34 can be the silly nickname of Platypus, so no reason Su-30 couldn't be Toucan.

Interesting. New kind of synthetic fuel being bought, Detsilin-M, for use in cruise and anti ship missiles. Range typically is increased by 250-300km, and the fuel is going to be adopted for new hypersonic projects.

Well, they *are* different versions. First one is of just vanilla R-27R's while the second is of R-27ER's.
Well spotted.. :)
With that being said, prior to seeing that first picture for first time i can't recall seeing any R-27's with grey nose. R or ER - always off-white.
I have.. on TUDM Su-30MKM and on Russian Su-30SM...
Well, all those pictures are taken at Irkutsk so i am betting the missiles in your pics and the recent Su-30SM pic are the exact same ones. So you are technically correct and not at same time. :P
Lets say outside of Irkutsk - i have never seen grey tip ones.
What really makes me wonder are some R-27s with extremely pointy radomes, any idea what these are?

This got me wondering.. does the different color of the radomes of the R-27 missiles have any meaning, maybe indicating a different version?

I believe they are called R-27P/EP.
EDIT; Actually it seems P/EP doesn't have that radome. This drawing just has the pointy one as R-27ER variant;
