nope. they have deep contempt for smaller planes.
plus you have to trust Russian intelligence especially in Middleast for evaluating and buying planes.
i don't doubt the link. Chinese Sukhois are exceptional. They can shoot down all fourth generation aircraft.

It's really good. The alpha and roll rate are more than encouraging. And above all, it's a stealth plane...
It's much better than last year showcasing of the 31 that left us all agape about what kind of futuristic technologies were made... The pilot pants. ;)

JF-17 started as a light weight basic fighter for Pakistan and now it is ready to take on New Gripen with aesa, two seaters, and refuelling probe.
It is not taking on anything, but simply following a gradual evolution plan, PAF had intended for it from its onset. The pace is a little slower but that is because of their financial/technological constraints. Expect structural/engine medications in the coming years.

Why do You think so ?
In any case , there would be such a difference? Probably almost the latest prototype wouldn't be so different by the LRIP (or better said the state trial/pre serial planes, as we have ascertained that chinese use a soviet-like development path) ones.

you still think Sri Lanka should buy Tejas? lol.
Nobody from current and perspective Chinese clients needs AESA. The FC-1 has so far sold surprisingly poorly, given the fact that the concept of a mid-tech lightweight single-engined fighter in the $20-30mil range is an excellent one.. An FC-1 with AESA will sell even worse. You buy Chinese if you want to save on procurement cost and operating cost, not if you want state-of-art.

So are these still prototype?
Why do You think so ?
Think I got it wrong here. 1st impression seeing the video was that it was a prototype, color scheme and so on but the hi-res photo show the modifications included in the LRIP are visible in these birds too. So looks like these are LRIP birds after all. My bad.

Sri Lanka should not be buying any fighter-jets. But If China gives a few JF-17 for free like they did with the J-7G, then, thats fine by me ;). If India gives a us a few LCA-Tejas free again I am fine with that too :D. Point is Sri Lanka is broke and SLAF shouldn't be buying any new planes.

J-20 Officially Declassified: Short video. It is not a full demo by any means so don't expect fancy maneuvering but a milestone nonetheless.

Some hi-res photos. It seems the planes used for the Zhuhai demo was not an LRIP bird but a prototype.
