-A trawl through this site should get you started. http://www.blackburn-buccaneer.co.uk/

-Most if not all 12 Squadron Buccaneers carried the Fox Head squdron marking on both intakes.
It would be almost impossible to tie your example to any one aircraft, as the marking was universally applied, and the panels could and often were changed between aircraft.

-Short finals - thank you!
cabbage - Agreed, but I’m finding that they are all slightly different in the way the Fox head looks, and mine in particular has the eyes looking to the right instead of straight ahead.
It would be nice to find it fitted to at least one airframe.

-Wyvernfan, I will have a close look at all the Bucc pics I took during the 80's and 90's.
I had the privelege of working with 12 Sqdn during Exercises and spent 2 years on 208 Sqdn. Sadly I was more often a hinderence than a help. Took lots of pics both from withiin Lossie's airfield, and from the viewing points at each end.
I can't promise anything, but I'll give it a try.

-That would be appreciated. I’ll try to sort a photo of it when I can dig one out.

-Thanks Wyvernfan, it gives me some idea of what to look for.
Do you have the full access panel, or just the part with the motif on ?
Is it just this particular Bucc you're interested in ?

-It’s the whole panel including the quick release catches, although one side has been slightly cut down from top to bottom with what looks like a disc cutter. But it’s definately from the starboard side as the port one is different.

-Hi Wyvernfan, sorry for the delay in replying. Not good news I'm afraid.
I've had a good look at my photos, but can't find any that match the panel you have. it would appear that the "XII" annotation wasn't universaly applied, and none of my pics show a whiskered foxhead.
It could be down to my poor photgraphic efforts, as many of the pics seem to have turned quite dark.
If you're intrested, I will post ome of my better efforts, including one of a Buccaneer in an unatural position.

-Seeing as there is renewed interest in ex 12 squadron Buccaneers on here I thought I’d try again in hoping to track down which aircraft this Fox head engine cover came from.
As I said before all the Fox heads painted on the panels are slightly different - but this one seems more different than most!?

Probably a bit of a long shot but are there any Buccaneer afficionados who would know of a database listing all Buccs used by 12 (XII) squadron with photos if possible?
The reason I ask is that I have an engine cover panel from a Bucc (starboard side I think) with the Foxes head mascot painted on, but I can’t pinpoint from which aircraft it came from. Google has so far drawn a blank.
