I have begun an appraisal of the An-2 in military service in Africa as a research project and am aware of a number of air forces which used them in small numbers. However I can find little information on the internet or in published works. I have already compiled an excel list of some 200 examples which have either operated in Africa in civil and military roles but detailed and anecdotal information is sparse.
Are there fellow enthusiasts who can assist with information and images?
Many thanks!

Many thanks for your reply Gerard. I have found images of Guinea-Bissau 09 and Libya 211 but have to date never seen one of an Angolan aircraft. Do you have any details of the Angolan aircraft image - sadly it seems unidentifiable.

I presume it's the same aircraft.

The Sao Tome images are likely to be S9-EAL or S9-EAS (or in fact both!)
