-Well that brought back some memories,not all pleasant as someone who spent two years of his life there fixing Hunters!One of my 35mm slides actually appears amongst them!!Good one of the venoms (also 8sqdn)and the biplanes (?).Britain pulled out in 1967 ,not many servicemen shed tears over this.

-My father was there in 1967, and among the last servicemen to leave when it closed. Among his photographs, I believe he had one of the Britania that bellied in on the mud flats, off the end of the runway.
