I am working on a Harrier GR3 re-paint project.

We now need details of the pattern of the the Grey/Green "wrap around" scheme for this aircraft in order to mark out in preparation for painting.

Can anyone please provide either a resource which illustrates this scheme or a link to accurate drawings/photos. Clearly the source needs to be of sufficient "scale" for us to replicate on the actual aircraft.

We have trawled through the large volume of photos online but have yet to build up a "complete" picture, particularly the pattern on the underside of the fuselage and wings.

Many thanks in advance.

Bravo,
From a friend, a member of the IPMS Harrier Special Interest Group (SIG).
Hope it helps.

XZ133 hanging from the ceiling at RAF Hendon Museum should give them all they need. As for what is accurate, nothing was painted 100% accurate to the scale drawings, so they're best bet is to find photos of the aircraft they have. It's not clear if they have an original GR3 or what they have.

Have they asked JetArt? The RAF Museum? The Harrier Heritage Centre? Museums that have GR3s - Tangmere, Yorkshire, Newark, Bruntingthorpe, Duxford?
