Got the DVD of Squadron 303 from Amazon today. Just finished watching it. It's pretty good, and well worth checking out. Like "Hurricane", the emphasis is again on Jan Zumbach and Witold Urbanowicz. But, unlike "Hurricane", the CGI is superb. One thing that did surprise me was the use of a fair bit of out take footage from "Battle of Britain". Although most of it did look "squeezed", there were a few shots that I hadn't seen before. All in all, not bad.

I've just finished watching it myself.

All in all, a better film than Hurricane in that it looks a lot more polished, as if there was more time taken in post-production trying to get the look and feel of the flying sequences right. Sure, it's flawed, and those more knowledgeable than me can pick holes in the history of the film, but its heart is in the the right place!

And yes, a few bits of out-take footage used - and some of it I definitely haven't seen!

Amazing that the film Battle of Britain is STILL contributing ... talk about longevity.

And the one thing that really, really sucks about DVDs is the different regional "codes," so, alas, I won't be able to watch 303 on this side of the pond.

That looks like it was done for Hurricane - there's at least one shot in the film showing a Hurricane without its radiator!
