Hi All,
Another two Hawker projects that are not mentioned much on the forum is the progress they are making with:- Tempest II MW376 that is coming along very nicely, it seems not much news then BAM!! a shed load you can even ask the projects mechanic questions about the aircraft now via they're Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/Hawker-Tempest-II-MW376-Restoration-127964464230509/?ref=py_c

Also the team from Typhoon legacy restoring Tyhoon JP843, both projects are ones that I personally would love to come to fruition especially with the rumours over the years of them starting then no news for what seemed to be an eon. Like I say two very exciting projects along with the UK's Typhoon RB396 that will see in the not to distant future three airworthy very rare examples of the Hawker family when they are finished which can only be good for us enthusiasts when all said an done....:applause:

The last 10% of the work takes 90% of the time...

The first photo looks amazingly realistic for a model.

Tim's work is incredible and even more incredible for being 1/72 scale, especially the way the pilots look so lifelike. I'm sure he used to post on Britmodeller many years ago, but I haven't seen any of his work recently. Presumably Tim's work is inspired by Charles Brown's photography?

There have been various mentions on different sites etc that the Tempest is progressing well, and whilst i don't have any inside info, i'm fairly confident it will fly before either of the Typhoons.

Once she is airborne, here's where you need to scrub first.

The guys doing the Tempest MW376 restoration in Canada are already anticipating doing taxi tests with that aircraft as early as first quarter of 2020, while I had also heard that the Tempest MW763 project at Air Leasing in the UK was likely going to be the first completed (I haven't seen any photos of the project since 2016, though it was quite advanced already back then), so we shall see how close each project comes to completion in the end. Both are going to look spectacular.

I knew it was Tim someone, I found a thread of his work a few years ago and found it stunning, exceptionally well done.

Also thanks for the info JohnTerrell, I have often wondered what the latest with MW763 is. Also, does anyone else mix up the serials of these projects?
