-But they did use a 4 bladed Spit with a tarpaulin draped over the gun ports - presumably to hide the cannon.

-I need to watch this show as within the space of 10 mins I have seen mention of it on two different forums for two completely different hobbies. 1 for a later mark of Spitifre and one for theatrical lighting that is late 40s not early 40s.

-I thought last nights Dunkirk episode was excellent. The Stukas were very well done as were formations of bombers.Well done them .
I do have more problems with trying to see how factual a coloured ,gay jazz player was getting on a boat dressed like that BUT i suppose that is a storyline side for the non war interested viewers.
I am so glad that nasty nazi woman got her future ironed out though ;)

-The music was all over the place too - a lot of early 1950's proto-rock and roll in there, complete with electric guitars.
Did anyone else notice the four-blader with the 'lower' two blades removed? I am guessing it was to make it look less wrong - or maybe just to protect against over-enthusiastic camera movements?
Great drama though. Where were the airfield scenes filmed? Interesting mix of historics visible but I couldn't pin it down.

-Well I've been enjoying this series very much. There are a few inaccuracies, but they have tried at least to make it reasonably accurate. The Dunkirk scenes were just something else! second only to Atonement in quality I'd say. Amazing work.

-Thanks TEEJ.
I'm enjoying it too - nicely done except once again the pilots look too old and the music is anachronistic. The Dunkirk scenes were remarkable, and on a TV series budget, too.

-No problem, Beermat. I enjoyed it too! Nice to see that there is going to be another series.

The TV series, watched the Dunkirk episode tonight and it had everything that awful new film of late lacked, I applaud the film for not using cgi but when the the result is as dreadful as it was, they should look series like WofF to see how it should be done.
