-Don't worry, Key have listened to our comments and will be introducing a range of upgrades in the coming weeks. The Spam will then be in trendy bright new colours and programmed to bounce all over the screen. After all that is what the forum members have been asking for for years, isn't it?

-Dont' be such a naysayer !
A new thread is a new thread, and these days, they are hard to find round here.
Plus, I expect it looks really whizzy on a smart-phone.

-Forum admin, WAKE UP and get your site security fixed by professionals before there is a serious breach of member confidentiality.

-I have just rung Customer Services at Key to get the thread offering fake Passports, Driving Licences etc removed from the forum.
It had sat on the site for just under 3 hours.....

-and I have e-mailed the CEO with much the same message

-The passport offer is still there.
It's one thing to get an obvious spam message offering discount knock-off sport shoes, but for something illegal as selling "real" government dicuments...
It looks like Key doesn't care any longer.

-The thing about patience is that it is finite.
It is inexorably linked to trust, and both are gone.
We have had a MONTH of 'Sit tight Guys, we are on the case ' and yet still NOTHING significant has changed, and the once-valued forum is remains dysfunctional, despised, and now pretty much deserted.
The sad truth is that the people appointed by Key to concoct this horror-show clearly had no meaningful understanding of the forum, and did not bother to take time to understand its user-profile, or its function, or even trial any of their half-baked 'innovations'.
It was ( we have to use past tense now) much more important than FlyPast magazine, because 19 years of accumulated historic aviation knowledge and history FAR eclipsed any library or printed resource, and it is probably all going to be lost now.
Yet still Key and their IT 'experts' treat the forum with indifference and bullsh*t, and that is why people are so saddened, and patience now is exhausted.

-The moderators had an update from James last night - all being well, the worst of the issues will be resolved in the next few days.
Spam isnt always easy to resolve, and often appears when most of us are in bed. It will soon get sorted.

There seems to be a lot of spam on this site since the introduction of the new format.
Is this because of a lack of security features or is it indicative of the previous hidden hard work by the mods, who , like many others it seems, now no longer visit this carcass of a forum as much as they used to.
Issues like this tend to reduce the desire to visit this forum even further, compounding the feeling of a forum in terminal decline.
