Newark Air Museum's website has exciting news about this new exhibit that will be heading to its site in the coming weeks.

I am more concerned at what else the IWM decide to get rid of. Will the public actually care if a virtually identical plane takes its place?

Interesting disposal policy - unless IWM are getting a genuine service Typhoon, I would have thought DA4 represented that type in service.

I suspect that this section of the news release offers an explanation:

"In the documents notifying interested parties of the proposed disposal the IWM’s  Disposals Manager made the following comments about the DA4 airframe.

“As a prototype, this airframe is an experimental model and is not representative of a production or operational aircraft. DA4 was one of the seven original industry development aircraft before becoming a RAF ground instructional airframe.” "

NAM has just tweeted the following DA4 update:
