I just sent a PM to jamesm as a test:
Thanks for giving us PMs back. I'm just trying this. Can we also have notification of PMs, as well as of all posts in subscribed threads?
Thanks
Laurence
This is more an oddity than a complaint, but ... when I'm reading a forum thread on my computer, and use the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen to move quickly up to the top of a page, a "flash" of a red bar briefly appears under the gaudy yellow menu bar at the top of the page.
Couple that with the magic bouncing Search box, and its visually unappealing, and a little disconcerting.

I see some things have improved slightly but still a long way to go yet. Pity that the number of views and the number of replies have disappeared from the different threads, these in my opinion should be reinstated ASAP, what do others think?
I agree with you Sopwith and I have previously requested this on this thread. This might stimulate activity and help to counter what Air Ministry indicates is the case.

Hi team,
Apologies if this has been covered. I sent a PM to a forum member on December 5, not long after that a "1" appeared next to the PM icon at top right and, when hovering over that icon, it says I have 1 unread message. However when I click on the icon I only see the Conversation with the original PM I sent. Is the other member's reply hidden somewhere, or does the "unread message" (for some reason) refer to the message I sent.

1. jamesm: I refer back to my post of 9 December (I tried to copy it but can't). I was bemoaning the fact that links in posts seem to just send you back to the start of a thread instead to the new url. Still hasn't changed.
2. So, in view of not being able to copy, how can I cite a message or part of one?
We still do not have some very basic functions such as an 'Edit Post' facility.
I have never seen a Forum 'Update' handled so badly as this one,I am on quite a few aircraft and car forums and most have had a major update in the last 12 months and although the forum 'look' is almost never as good/tidy as the previous version - they usually retain all the functionality and it is usually an almost seamless changeover.
I do hope Key have not had to pay anybody for the absolute shambles this forum 'update' has been.

Hi Laurence,
I have just replied to your message.
We are working on those features and we will be keep you all up to date as we progress with them.
It is worth noting that you can send a message to more than one person for a group chat. I forgot to add this to my previous post.

jamesm: It's indeed good to be able to find one's old posts. However, it seems that the links in those old posts no longer work. Can that be fixed?
Also, can there be an indication when there are new posts in a given thread? Thanks.

I would like to see the return of the option to mark all threads read. That way I can exclude posts in threads I'm not following.

I would say the fact that only eight new threads have been started in the last seven days tells you everything about what people think?
Still a less than enjoyable experience to use the forum, hence people don't bother any more.
