Go for it Newark! Plenty of fine, warm weather still to be had at that time of the year.
It would be appreciated if those of us travelling some distance might be allowed to set up the evening before as tents and other shelters could be involved? Not a deal breaker but puts less strain on some of us geri-jumblers (not me of course, asking for a friend).

I will add that request to the request list, the only possible issue might be getting a museum volunteer to stay on site Friday night - I will see what transpires; first I need to persuade everyone that it's a good idea!

Things seem to be falling in to place quite nicely and it's likely that the stallholders who had spaces booked at the sale that was cancelled in April will be contacted quite soon, about standing at the proposed outdoor sale in September!

Emails were sent out last night to stallholders from NAM's cancelled spring 2020 Aeroboot/Aerojumble sale; offering space at the now confirmed Autumn Outdoor Sale that’s set for Saturday 26th September 2020.
Further news will follow in due course about some face to face aviation trading!

Posted elsewhere: "Twenty two of the sellers that had space booked at the cancelled spring indoor event have now indicated that they will sell at the event; we have just emails the remainder of our mailing list to give them an opportunity to take some of the remaining space at this outdoor event on Saturday 26th September 2020."

"An update has been added to the NAM website with further details about the Autumn Aeroboot / Aerojumble that takes place on our Southfield Site on Saturday 26th September, 2020!

Another Aeroboot/Aerojumble tweet from Newark Air Museum earlier today!
"We still have seller spaces available for our #Aeroboot#Aerojumble sale on 26th September 2020 – info in here http://newarkairmuseum.org/Museum-Events
We will be asking buyers attending the event to provide Test Track & Trace contact information so that we remain Covid-Secure!"
Only 6 pitches remain
Site check yesterday indicated ground firm despite recent rain
Covid-Secure site planning on 01.09.20 to finalise arrangements & guidance for sellers/buyers"

Alas, this is yet just another frustration added to the many that have occurred throughout this mad time but, I fully support NAM's decision to again, postpone this event. Especially given the new caveat of legally having to retain the personal information of a fair few number of people for three weeks!
I'm sure the Government watches these threads purely just to curtail our enjoyment!
I echo Ian's thoughts though, that hopefully the museum is still making it's way through the darkness.

Thanks for that, I will feed that back to everyone at NAM.
The museum is doing OK at the moment and it does not want to put at risk a lot of hard work that's been done since it re-opened. The new legal implications of failing to comply with Track & Trace recording are too much of a risk during what can be a frantic opening session at an Aeroboot event as everyone tries to get on site as quickly as possible the best bargains!

Online tickets might help solve one of the issues. That said NAM hasn't gone down that route for its main admissions since it reopened and is ticking over quite steadily - sadly a standalone system just for an Aeroboot would not provide a worthwhile return on any investment.
Likewise it would no doubt create other issues for both buyers and sellers; some of whom aren't even on the Internet. Some business/bookings are still made via landline telephones, letter, cheques and even the odd postal order!

Based on observed experiences since reopening I cannot see Newark going down a pre-booking route for admission to any of its events/activities - unless legislation is introduced to make this compulsory.
That's said some visitors seem confused by the fact that you don't have to book - sometimes you cannot win!!

Sounds great. I think there’s a few of us looking to get back to some buying and selling and Newark is always the place to be for it!

Some external equipment hire factors are currently being addressed, which may mean that a quicker decision is reached on this proposal!

That is uplifting news! Would love a jumble this year, and as AM suggests, It probably' won't be snowing by then.

News from Newark "Earlier today we took the sad decision to cancel the Aeroboot that was scheduled for 26th September.
The email notifications about the Aeroboot / Aerojumble cancellation have now been sent out to those sellers who had booked spaces – sorry!

I don't know about anybody else, but advance bookings put me off completely. If I have to book in advance, I don't go.
