Thank god it doesn't. What we need is a fighter jet, not a show jet. Still, when compared to the F-4 it's still a toy.

-:)
But two wingtanks, 1 belly tank, conformal and no weapons? Are they testing the range...

-Ugly bird, but nice colour scheme.

-Somehow I never understood the principle of making first a lightweight agile fighter and then adding so much that the basic concept is totally gone. It is like making the F16 an aircraftcarrier plane... Or like making the Bis an interdiction plane... They have the Eagle... Why this?

-i dont think it could beat a Mig-29 with all that stuff in it (conformals and that huge dorsal) i mean in a dogfight.

-PLA to answer your question I don't believe there was enough money to get the required number of F-15I's to replace the F-4E fleet in its entirety as well as the early F-16A/B models and the A-4's and Kfir's.
As it stands the F-15I was intended to work alongside the Kurnass 2000 fleet, while the F-16I is the Phantom's replacement.

-I think it's really pretty anyways, the conformal tanks make it look mean somehow upfront. I just kinda like it.

Is that what the F-16I designed to do? anyway with superior Radar and
missiles, i don't think syrian Mig-29s have a chance.

-Yeah... I actually like this much better then those F-16 with out it.

-The planes in the pictures are ugly because they are the two seat variants. IMHO, all two seated F-16s look ugly because of the messed up canopy and the high spine behind it.

Well that is not certain. Syrian pilots have shown many times that they are very capable of inflicting serious losses to the IDF/AF. If ambushed correctly, the plane can be quickly killed by a well flown R-73 armed MiG-29.
There is more to air-to-air combat then the pure specification of the airplane.
And a R-77 armed MiG-29 would further change the game.
