Flew from GLA to APG on Tuesday 15th June with Fly Globespan.Cost £140 return - booked 3 days before. Check in a little slow, as a large queue had formed despite it being 2 3/4 hrs before departure. Airbridge boarding through front exit. Boarded from rear seats first. Requirement to show your boarding card again to the Cabin crew at the door, which caused some hold up. I was in row 11 which was the row just in front of the emergency exit row, so had no recline. I dont think they should have recline with this seat pitch anyway. Departed on time at 0600.
Ex Deutsche BA 737-300 - 7 years old ,now G-GSPN. Fully refurbished cabin.
Smart navy leather seats with red head rest covers. 30" leg room pretty standard. Aircraft tidy and clean. Cabin crew all Scottish, friendly and professional. Sprightly take-off despite being full. No standard meal service, but Lo-co style snack service, with sandwiches Pringles etc. Two runs of the trolley through the 2 hrs 45 min flight. Kept well informed by the pilot pointing out land marks - Severn Bridge, Torquay etc.Smooth flight with not even any turbulence nearing Malaga over the mountainous areas in the heat. Arrived on time, smooth landing despite wind. Surprisingly, Air bridge disembarking. Luggage quickly through.
Excellent flight all in all. Would highly recommend. :)

Nice report BY738.

I would like to see flyglobespan expand even more and do very well in Scotland. Anyone any news on any new routes from them?

Latest news is that they have basically put their big plans on hold because of increased fuel prices. They hope to have 10 aircraft, doubling their fleet, for next summer I think.

Fair enough - that's rather sensible of them. It's good that they get lots of good reviews and I hope my fellow Scots continue to make them a success up there. They seems to deserve the title "Scotland's Low Cost Airline" - well more than Air Scotland do anyway! :D

They are so much better than Air Scotland. Such simple things as cancelled flights. FLyglobespan never, Air Scotland? Way too often!

Great report!

Is it a coincedence that Jet2 and Globespan are both involved with Channel Express, and are both getting such good reputations? I think not.

Im sorry but I didnt enjoy that it was terible.I like a trip report with a bit of detail which takes me a couple of minutes to read.I genrally like to hear about getting to and from the airport and what you did while waiting to board.maybe im just picky but I like detail.

Yeah maybe you are. If you want to know about me eating a bag of crisps and reading a magazine whilst waiting then perhaps another forum would be suited. Any longer and people switch off IMHO
Great report!

You really are a complete pain in the arse sometimes Shamrock.

How dare you say that, when this person has taken his own time to write a report, say something like that.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself for saying that.

Don't let him put you off BY, I thought it was a great report.

BY it's a really good and well written report. I just like to know what to expect when I fly on a particular airline (i.e. other people's experiences and opinions), and this report does exactly that.

I only stated that I perfer a little more detail in my reports. In my opinion I would give that trip report many marks.Thats my opinion and thats that.As for you Bmused55 i called somebody a name a few weeks ago and I was slaughered for it.I apoligised I dont expect or even want an apolgy but I have my opinions and nothing can change that.If I went around saying that every Easyjet fan was a gimp Id be roasted. As for me being a pain in the arse you can shove this trip report up your arse as well as everybody else.I disliked the report what do you want me to do say it was great.Have you read my report. If not do so and tell me what its like honestly.Id love if youd tell me its was utter s h i t e like yourself.

Clearing stating

it was terible
is simply bad form!

Its not BY's fault that you want to know what went on from getting out of bed to getting into bed at the destination.

The report is sound. It mentions the activities of the trip, nothing more. Therefore it is not terrible!

As for the name calling... well you deserve it right now! Gimp. (as you say, I'm expressing a view)

Ok.I am here to apoligise.I get quite over excited sometimes but at the moment Im in the middle of some very stressful exams.Im not blaming them on it but at the moment its a contributing factor.Im only young (17) and I still have a huge amount to learn.I have privatly talked to BY738 apoliginsing to him and I hope everybody else excepts my apoligy.Im not here to make enemies even though some might think I am.Im here to discuss aviation like the rest of you.
Now I have that out of the way I want to ask do Glopespan fly to Dublin.Although I dont think they do there seems to be alot of their planes popping up here.
