-no idea what they are for but iv'e seen a few of them around u.k scenery and a few others as well, got to go try find them again now though as curiosity aroused !

-It looks like a sign that simply indicates an airport nearby. Are there airports close to where these signs are posted?

-Yeah I would go for Jeanske's theory, a landmark for where an event connected with the century of flight has taken place.

-Yes, I was flying around Southend airport.
The aircraft is, I assume, a Lockheed Vega, the aircraft that took the first woman across the Atlantic Ocean by plane. Did it land here?

-They're all over FS9, I wasn't sure what they meant either, I reckon just a way of filling in space without using the usual tree or 'LEGO' house :p

This is a plate I found somewhere around Southend!!! What is it supposed to mean?
