-I do not mind the Star c/s at all really. It does lack in visual qualities, but it is simply a modern corporate brand. My question is why SQ have departed from all the other Star aircraft of other ailines. On the SQ aircraft it lacks the tail, and the immense lettering. Was this for a distinct reason?

Seems that way, ACA345. I posted a shot of B747 9V-SPP in an identical scheme a couple of days ago.

-I understand this is a 'new' scheme for the Star Alliance, basically to add the 'Star Alliance' lettering to the side of the fuselage and leaving as much of the carrier's own livery untouched.
One of our ER4's may be getting the same treatment next month, but it is already in the original Star Alliance livery, complete with 'washing line'. I gather that the 'washing line' will disappear and be replaced with 'Star Alliance' lettering across the fuselage along with the airline's name.

Any sign of the A321's getting the house livery treatment yet ?

That's the most funny comment I've ever heard about S.A. paint scheme... :D

-I don't like it either.
The Star Alliance colour scheme seems to vary from airline to airline. The fact that the title only fills about two thirds of the fuselage in this example doesn't make it so appealing.
I am quite keen on the Thai and bmi examples, where the "Star Alliance" title fills the entire fuselage, with the airline squeezed in below.

Not that I know of.

-I think it looks a bit odd to be honest. The Star Alliance titles are huge in comparison to the Singapore Airlines ones and the white fuselage looks unfinished.

-Hmm somehow the Star Alliance livery does not look good on the 777, it looks better on the A346 however
