It was the same flight as we had in August only this time we were flying on G-XLAA. I wasn't really looking forward to this flight mainly because when we checked in at Newcastle, one of my teachers was standing in the same queue   . Luckily though she was about 12 rows in front of us on the plane. We had seats: 20A, B, D, E, F and 19 D, E and F which was right on the wing. The flight was lovely and on time, I've never heard such a funny pilot in my entire life, he was an American fella called Greg Martin and was retiring the following day. The in-flight meal was sausage, mash and peas and the in-flight entertainment was Spiderman 2 and Shrek 2. The landing was brill and early, we were parked next to G-BXKC, BXKA, OY-VKG, G-BYAU, G-DHJZ, G-MOND and a few others which I couldn't see.
The returning flight was on G-XLAB, and was lovely. The take off roll was a bit unusual at Lanzarote as runway 03 is normally used but we used 21. The meal was a choice of chicken, rice, peppers and gravy, or Beef Casserole, I chose the chicken. The entertainment was Dodgeball, great film I would highly recommend it if your into comedy. It was a bit bumpy after take off from Lanzarote but the rest of the flight was surprisingly smooth. We landed at Newcastle at 03.28am, on time on runway 07. This was also the last flight from Arrecife to Newcastle for the summer and won't be back until May. I would highly recommend Excel Airways and their service, it was flippen fantastic! 10/10 :D .
