I really wasn't looking forward to these 2 flights. They were very, very tiring and we went for a funeral over there, so most of our family went over. :( Anyway, we were booked onto the 11.25 flight to Malta from Heathrow on KM101, which was a 737-300, but I sadly couldn't get the reg (any help on this would be highly appreciated!) as we were sat near to the front of the plane and what didn't help was you couldn't see out of the jetty. The only problem was getting down to Heathrow from Newcastle. All the flights down to Heathrow from Newcastle were either booked or cancelled, and would'nt accept lake bookings (why I haven't a clue). So there was only one option....the bus . As there was about 30 odd people who decided to come with us to Malta in our family, we were first to be picked up (this was 3am BTW!), and hell I am never doing that again! We drove around Newcastle for just under an hour picking everyone up!. So we eventually got to Heathrow at around 8am and checked in and went through to the departure lounge, had meself some breakfast and waited to get on the plane. Like said before I couldn't get the reg, so we were sat on rows 1-6 and the flight was very turbulent to start off with and eventually got smoother as we began to climb towards 36000ft. There wasn't any Tellies or Radio on board and was a bit boring really, so most of the flight I was asleep. We began our descent into Malta and had a smooth landing, and from landing to walking out the airport it took about 45 minutes!

Anyway, on with the second flight, after the funeral and seeing the family in Melleiha Bay, we were booked onto the 7.50am (8.50 in the UK) KM100 flight which again was a Boeing 737-300. The flight was very smooth on take off, and the service was brill! One of the stewardesses did have problems understanding me when I asked for a drink (because of me accent like :p ) so I ended up having to right it down for her! But it was a very pleasent flight and I very much enjoyed it. The descent into Heathrow began to get bumpy at around 6000ft and one person on the opposite row (the poor fella) puked all over the seat in front of him, and believe you me, it wasn't a nice smell! The landing was bumpy, we bounced a couple of times, but I enjoyed this flight more than I did on the one going out. It was just SO TIRING! Air Malta, 10/10!
