-Looks like some nice shots, is there any chance of you posting them in a larger format? I'm looking at buying this camera, it is available for a very good price at the moment. Would be good to see some prorper results.

-Ahh lovely. Can anyone tell me anything about the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III lens? I can get a 350D, + that lense, for less than £900.

-thanks guys.....if it was westerlies I'd probably have post-rotation photos only!!!
wannabe.....if its the standard 75-300 you get with the EOS300 package (which I think it is.......) its not too bad, on an EOS300D that will get you out to 480mm I think the sensor is bigger on the 350D so the crop factor has come down a bit...not really sure on the specs tho.........
I used that lense for all my airshows last year and was perfectly happy with it.........it just didnt have the reach that I want.

-Most impressive. :)
I can't say I'm too struck on the thick black border, though.

-Looks like you got the measure of your new kit pretty quickly... But I don't think you got as good a tan at BRS as those of us who were at MAN did - what a difference 200 miles makes! :)

-PS: That FlyBe DHC8 pic is sooo wierd - first glance, I thought it was doing an ultra-low gear up flyby!

Do you have any examples of shots taken with it? I'm guessing the 300D willproduce roughly the same as the 350D....

righto......got my new camera and new lense yesterday and just couldnt wait to try it out......decided to go to BRS for a couple of hours at lunch time, have an ice cream and photo some airplanes......heres the results, I am loading them to canon image gateway so I think its going to work dunno tho......
btw
camera = Canon 350D = EXCELLENT ALL ROUND
lense = Sigma 50-500mm = HEAVY BUT VERY VERY GOOD!
so lets see if this works.......
canon image gateway is a load of ARS* so I will just have to upload them a different way.......gimme 10 mins..........
.....10 mins later........
ok take 2!
thanks for waiting guys......I had lots of fun today with this setup i need more practice with this new lense at the lower shutter speeds but for jets its stonking!
sorry for the size and number........
