All,

I am going to Hamburg on business next month and was wondering if there is anything "historic" worth searching out whilst I am there.
I will be staying in the city centre, with no transport

All guidance greatfully received

not historic but Airbus do run tours around the facility at Hamburg - did the tour a couple of years ago and it is very interesting - we actually were allowed inside one that was being finished.

The high spot of my last trip to Hamburg was a trip down the Reeperbahn to watch a version of the Phantom of the Opera. ;)

Joking apart it was great fun. PM me for details

Preserved at Airbus's Finkenwerder airfield are a Super Guppy and an ex-French AF Noratlas.

There is a company operating a Beaver floatplane from the port area on sightseeing flights. See http://www.airliners.net/open.file/859765/M/

If you get up near Heiligengeistfeld, you can see the last Flak tower in Hamburg, monstrous great lump of a building!.
