Not worthy of a trip report, due to no camera with me as it was a business trip anyhow yesterday I had to fly to London from Manchester with BA, nothing to special I hear you say but it was for me.

First flight was on the 757 and what should land but the Blue Peter schemed one, nice one I thought, and then to make my day who should sit next to me but a senior BA 747-400 captain who was on a positioning flight to Heathrow and then on to Arizona at 12:00pm.
Had a nice chat as you do and shared views on various aviation topics, also some gossip on BA's future fleet plans?.

Anyway 4 boring meetings later I was back in Heathrow and to finish the day of I was onboard an A320-100 non wingleted type G-BUSD, again nice surprise.

All in all a great day out, oh and even better when it’s all paid for.

When I go to Manchester in August, the outbound is a 757-200 and the inbound is also an A320. I'd love to get the Blue Peter 757 (G-CPEM) and would love even more to end up on an A320-100! :)

Was chatting about various things systems and so forth, his comment was the only thing wrong with the 744 is that they made the fuel tanks to big as it gets a bit monotonous on a 14 hour sector. He also mentioned that if Boeing don’t bring out the 744ADV then as some point BA will more than likely get the A380, but only after it’s been in service for a few years i.e. to iron out the creases so to speak.

All in all a pleasant trip and chat with him.
