-Sorry Cees. Our only Halifax that stayed here was scrapped soon after the war. Intersting though the centre section with midupper turret was intact for awhile? Wonder if its in a barn somewhere?

-Interesting story, sad ending though. Pity things didn't turn out better for her as Lanc's that survived the ravages of war don't deserve to go like that.

Before you scramble to find out where this Lancaster is located, she didnt survive a disasterous fire while being prepped for a ferry flight to the USA. The Nanton Lancaster Society website has a nice tribute to this Lancaster on their website at the link below:
