-Airbus seems to be doing well but Boeing still has an edge in the order books department. It could be a tight race for both to see who will come out at the top at the end of the year. This definitely is becoming an interesting year!

Iberia Airlines recently signed and confirmed an order for 30 jets with options for 49 more. The order is worth USD$1.8 billion. The firm order includes 10 A320s, 10 A318s, 7 A319s and 3 A321s. Iberia already owns 107 Airbuses of various designs.
In other news, LAN Airlines has recently entered into negotiations with Airbus for an order of 25 aircraft with further options for 15 additional airframes. Two models would be involved in this order, the A319 and the A318. The order is said to be worth USD$750 million.
There are reports, as well, that Aeroflot is about to sign an MOU for seven new built A320 with potentially more to come.
Finally, SAS quietly changed its final four A321 orders into A319s.
