Does anyone have the figures for all 737s delivered so far? No doubt more than 2500 but would be interesting to see the 737NG figures compared to A320/x!

About 1,200 737s are in the air at any time.

The 737 fleet has flown about 124 million hours in service, travelling 49 billion nautical miles (90 billion kilometres).

Do you think alot could be the -500 and below (i.e. not NG) as I think if comparing like with like would be only fair to compare Glass Cockpit (NG) with the A320?

If a.net figures are to be believed, the 737NG in all its variants (including BBJs) has had 2,106 orders to date, of which 1,258 have been delivered.
So while the overall 737 line has sold many more frames than the A320 (not surprising given that the A320 didn't even exist for much of that time), in a head-to-head comparison between the 737NG and the A320, the Airbus has the advantage.
Either way, both aircraft have done supremely well for their companies.

Not exactly fair either, since the A320 (1984) was launched well before the 737NG (1993).

Today, Airbus SAS reached a new milestone when it delivered its 2500th A320 series aircraft to China Airlines. The aircraft, an A320, was one or some one hundred ordered by the Chinese airlines. Congratulations to Airbus and to many more years of success!
