Into Farnborough recently we have had a Privatair 737BBJ, and Multiflights BBJ has been doing demo flights all week, along side all the Dubai BBJ's and their 319CJ. We had a German Air Force (Starlifter? Something like that) in recently too.

At Brisbane International Airport it would be the Airbus A300-600ST Beluga and the Antonov An-124, im not sure about Archerfield Airport though!

We did have a c5 galaxy pass through once in the 80's at manchester. In the 70's vulcans used to land there too (iknow it isnt airliners but it is unusual), but, in 1991 we had a north korean IL86 i think it was a government one.

Actually I seem to recall a Galaxy flypast at GLA in the 80's too. There was also a flypast of the Nasa 747 carrying the Space Shuttle enroute back from the Paris Airshow.

We occasionally get a private 747SP that is owned by some Prince that flies into CLE to come to the hospital here. I have yet to get a picture of it. I did once try to walk up to the closest fence to get a better look but was chased away by the police. I WAS on the other side of the fence which was a public area. Oh well, I don't argue with people with guns.

At BHX there is the odd Tu-154 from BH Air, and a few weeks ago a couple of B747s which is unusual for BHX because the biggest model ther is usually a B767 or an A330:D

Defenitely and without doubt the AN-22 Antheus (its NATO name will be blocked by the bad words controller) which visited RTM in June 1998. It came in to pick up a heavy, bulky piece of cargo (obviously) bound for Libya or so. The original plan was to lift the piece from our flatbed trailer and strap it down in the hold. In the end it proved to be quicker to push the entire flatbed trailer into the hold for ease of loading and unloading. The Antonov later returned to Maastricht, Holland on July 1 and our flatbed trailer was trucked back to RTM. Nice piece of logistics that was.

GLA is quite good for European Football charter flights especially with the eastern european teams. I remember an IL-62 several years ago and last year a couple of YAK-42s came in for one team playing one of the old firm.

EDI gets it's fair share of RAF VC10s, and in the past has seen An124s, A300 Beluga, the Vietnam B772 was nice. Lots of interesting one-offs over the years too...

If we're talking about unusual visitors to MAN - why not go for the Iraqi Il76s that visted during the late 1980s/early 90s with "cargo" of some kind, the day I missed 3 Malev Il18s around 1984 or so, as AndyXH558 suggest the Air Koryo/CAAK Il62 which I missed on both occasions it visited in 1991 and the 3 Aeroflot Il76s in the 1990s which almost parked in a row in the Western Apron (a Royal Saudi Air Force C130 split them).

At Linton-On-Ouse my local RAF base there has been an L1011 Tristar before, VC10, 707s and BAE146s.

In recent years for cambridge uk.

AN-124 which came in to deliver the "Rooiyak?" attack hellicopter during the 90`s.

King hussain of jordans Tristar.

The Black RAF VC-10 this year.

Also the ex-US C130 which turned into IRAQI air force colours(i think we have a second here at the moment under going the same treatment).

I don't spend much time at my local airport, MAN, other than when flying out. When I was younger and lived in Cumbria I sometimes went to Carlisle Airport, rumour has it that a 'commercial' aircraft had been spotted there, but I never saw it! ;) :diablo: Far rarer than any AN124 at STN!!!

I also forgot to add the A300 Beluga to the BHX list, I was there on that day too but I left 30 minutes too early :( I saw it landing as I was going in the other direction on the train :(
Aswell as other charters/diversions - too many to go into you know ;)

North American B757-200 ;) remembeed that after looking at tenthije's FRA thread

Didn't that Pan Am 727 have some payload restrictions?
