Hi All

We have been reporting in the Jet2 Expansion thread that it looks as though Ryanair might be announcing a New base at Humberside very Shortly. (This has also been reported on pprune)
Roumor has it that Ryanair has done the deal with the Manchester Airport group. Looks as though the deal involes the New base at East Midlands and its Bournemouth operation.

Ryanair set to drop there Leeds/Bradford & Doncaster-Sheffield flight to Dublin with Jet2.com taking over the LBA runs.

So guys what routes do you think they will be operting???
3 routes i think that Ryanair would operate out of HUY are Paris,Brussles, & Dublin of Corse.

If FR start to serve HUY I would expect DUB, amybe GRO but not a base. Cant see the demand for FR type destinations from HUY (eg French Regional Airports, Poland)

First time Ive heard FR would drop LBA

Same here I hope they don't drop LBA. But I said eariler all acounts Jet2 are ready and waiting in the wings off Ryanair for the LBA - Dubiln route.

As you said above though I also think they won't base an aircraft over night at Humberside Airport. It I'll be the same type of operation Ryanair run from Blackpool, Bournemouth & Teeside Airports. Where aircraft operate from Bases else where in Europe.

Hope its ture though for HUY. This along with your New Excel Airways base, Passenger figures will shoot through the roof over night next summer.

Yes, something like BLK would be far more likely. Passenger numbers will certainly be up next year, at least to 2004 levels but probably higher

Either way it goes it can only be good for Humberside, I would like to see a Ryanair base here but I'm not holding my breath.
